POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position will teach full or part-time Freshman Academy – an elective credit for all 9th grade students. The course will encompass social emotional learning, academic skills like note taking and study habits, college and career research and goal setting, behavioral expectations, and much more. The course is designed to support all freshman through their transition into high school, it will empower them for success during high school, and it will lead them towards their correct path after high school. This position will work directly with other departments to provide reinforcement of their standards and curriculum through a variety of highly engaging and collaborative projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Positions in this classification typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Employees may be subject to travel, body fluids, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, and intense noise. Employees may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
